ULTRA-FAST WARMING PROTOCOL – KITAZATO

The ultra-fast warming procedure is a technique that optimizes the thawing of oocytes and embryos in just 1 minute.

1Heat the TS medium in an appropriate dish until it
reaches a temperature of 37°C (heat without CO₂).

2Remove the external cover of the Cryotop under liquid nitrogen.

3Place the Cryotop with the vitrified sample into the preheated dish at 37°C with 4 mL of TS medium and leave it for 1 minute.

4After 1 minute, transfer the thawed sample to its corresponding pre-gassed culture plate and maintain it at 37°C in an incubator.

Learn the Devitrification Protocol with Kitazato step by step to ensure optimal oocyte survival and high success rates in assisted reproduction. This protocol is designed to offer precision, consistency, and safety throughout the warming process of vitrified oocytes. Using high-quality Kitazato media and tools, embryologists can follow a streamlined approach that minimizes stress on the cells and maximizes their viability post-warming. The Kitazato devitrification system includes carefully formulated solutions and timing guidelines to help professionals achieve the best possible outcomes. Each step — from the initial exposure to warming solution, to the final rinse — is critical for the successful rehydration and recovery of the oocytes. Whether you’re new to the technique or looking to refine your protocol, mastering the Kitazato method can enhance the efficiency of your lab and increase patient satisfaction. With the right training and attention to detail, this protocol supports consistent, high-quality results in IVF and egg donation programs.
