Our Commitment to Safety and Health at Our Clinics
At our clinics, we have implemented a wide range of safety measures to ensure the health and well-being of everyone who visits us. We believe in providing a safe environment for both our patients and staff, particularly in these challenging times. Here are some of the key safety protocols in place at our facilities:
Enhanced Safety Measures for Our Clinics
To prevent the spread of any infectious diseases, we’ve installed protective screens at reception areas, consultation rooms, common areas, and to separate workstations. This ensures that everyone can maintain safe distances while interacting with each other.
We also provide masks and gloves to anyone who enters our clinics, and hydroalcoholic gel dispensers are placed in all rooms for easy access to hand sanitization. Clear signage has been installed throughout the facility to help maintain the required social distancing.
We’ve made adjustments to our waiting rooms, offering individualized spaces or controlling the number of people in the clinic at any given time. Access is restricted to reduce the number of visitors, and we use UV light disinfection between each surgical procedure to ensure complete sanitation. Additionally, common areas are disinfected daily using ozone systems for added safety.
Protection for Our Workers
The safety of our workers is our priority. All our staff undergo thorough Covid-19 testing, including RT-PCR nasopharyngeal swabs and antibody tests (IgA and IgG by ELISA), to ensure they are free of the virus before returning to work.
Strict adherence to safety protocols is maintained by all staff members, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Additionally, daily temperature checks are conducted to monitor everyone’s health.
Care for Our Donors
The safety of our donors is of utmost importance to us. Before starting any treatments, we assess whether the visit can be conducted in person or through videoconference, minimizing unnecessary risks. Where possible, we restrict the presence of companions to just one person, ensuring they are the same individual for consistency.
We take temperature readings of both the donor and their companion using infrared thermometers. If the donor’s temperature exceeds 37ºC, the appointment will be postponed until a diagnosis is confirmed. A thorough clinical interview is conducted, and donors complete an Epidemiological Evaluation Questionnaire to assess their potential risk of exposure to Covid-19.
Before the stimulation phase of treatment, we carry out a Covid-19 triage with an RT-PCR test to rule out the presence of the virus. Throughout the treatment process, the health of the donor is continually monitored, including a second RT-PCR test prior to follicular puncture to ensure they are virus-free.
State-of-the-Art Laboratories
Our laboratories are equipped to handle containment level 2 (CL 2) operations, ensuring that we maintain pathogen-free conditions. They are equipped with vertical laminar flow cabinets and air filtration systems to guarantee safety during all procedures.
We also use advanced air purification units based on Plasma technology, combined with high-efficiency HEPA filters, to deactivate microorganisms and viruses at the DNA/RNA level. Our embryologists follow strict quality controls and disinfection protocols to ensure both their safety and the integrity of the biological material they work with.
Gametes are stored in specialized cryo-containers that protect them from any potential contamination during storage and transport.
Safe Deliveries and Shipments
To ensure the safety of all transported materials, we have established detailed protocols for cleaning and disinfecting all transport containers, including metal trunks and cryogenic containers. Every container is thoroughly cleaned before being sent to its next destination, minimizing the risk of any potential cross-contamination.
Our ongoing commitment to health and safety remains central to everything we do, and we continue to adapt and improve our procedures to meet the highest standards for all patients, donors, and staff.
